The Trios

Bert Dalton Trio

The Bert Dalton Trio is Bert Dalton-piano, Rob “Milo” Jaramillo-bass, and John Bartlit-drums. The trio played a house gig at the La Fonda Hotel in Santa Fe for over ten years and has since performed many concerts, club dates, and private events. Having played together for twenty years, the trio is incredibly tight, intuitive, whimsical, and polished. Their repertoire includes jazz, Latin, Brazilian, originals, and even some novelty songs.

Band 2

The Dalton Brothers Trio is Bert Dalton, piano, Larry Dalton, bass, and Rich MacDonald, drums. The trio was "officially" formed at the Great River Jazz Festival in La Crosse, Wisconsin, in the summer of 2002. This is only part of the story, as brothers Bert and Larry Dalton have spent many formative years working together in various musical ensembles, growing up in Villa Park, Illinois. The brothers have followed their own separate musical journeys since their early years, but the joy of performing together hasn't left them. Bassist Larry Dalton performs in the La Crosse region with numerous groups and orchestras. Drummer Rich MacDonald, from nearby Winona, Minnesota, has worked as a free-lance drummer and percussionist since the late-1970s. He is currently a Professor of Percussion and Jazz Studies at Winona State University, and performs frequently in the southeast Minnesota and western Wisconsin region.
